RHLA LTD is a landscape planning consultancy specialising in the delivery of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) in support of planning applications across a range of development types and scales.
The studio was set up in 2016 by Richard Hammond to provide specialised landscape planning services to companies. Since 2016, the studio has expanded its work to include private Clients. The studio is based in Winchester, Hampshire and is a Landscape Institute Registered Practice.
Our work includes for initial landscape and townscape appraisals to identify the opportunities and constraints of land, supporting representations for the promotion of land, LVIA for planning applications and Environmental Statements, and expert witness attendance at Public Inquiries, Hearings and Development Consent Orders.
Richard Hammond is a Chartered Landscape Architect and Practitioner of the Institute of Environmental Management with twenty years experience in the landscape planning sector. Richard has worked across residential, infrastructure, renewable energy(wind and solar), leisure and transport schemes, including for schemes within World Heritage Sites, National Parks, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Green Belt.
